What is the difference between a Sweet Itch Rug and the Bug Body Rug?

This is a very common and reasonable question customers ask us every day. We have created this short guide to provide more detailed information on this question and help you decide which product is the right one for you:

Both products are made of the same fabric; the only difference is the detachable neckpiece.

The Sweet Itch Rug is designed to cover your horse's body, without covering the neck. If you prefer not to cover the neck area or already have a hood covering the face/neck area, our Sweet Itch Rug is the right product for you. It combines with other Snuggy Hoods products eg Udder-/Sheath Cover, as shown in the images below.

The Bug Body Fly Rug provides cover for your horse's body (same as the Sweet Itch Rug) including the neck area by adding a detachable neckpiece. In clear words: The Bug Body is a Sweet itch Rug with attachments in the shoulder area, used to attach the included neckpiece. The Bug Body also combines with other Snuggy Hoods products as shown in the images below.

Possible combinations with other products

Both Sweet Itch Rug and Bug Body Fly Rug offer various possible combinations with other Snuggy Hoods products to achieve exactly the amount of cover that your horse needs. Possible combinations are shown in the images below.

Please note that some products, eg Udder-/Sheath Cover, need extra attachments. Please visit the relevant product pages for further details.
