Decided to invest in a tail bag for my 17hh warmblood who loves to roll in the mud and turn his tail from black to brown throughout the winter! Best thing I’ve bought in a while, I plait his tail and then fold it up using the tab provided. He hasn’t reacted to it in the slightest so I don’t feel bad leaving it on him day and night. The only thing I would say is make sure you measure your horses tail when it’s in the state that you want to use it in the bag as I realised that once I’d plaited it, it lost some of the length so I could have maybe bought a shorter bag but this doesn’t affect it’s use at all. I don’t do ridden showing and like his tail on the longer side so if I hadn’t folded it up it would have been very close to the ground and I don’t want to risk it getting caught on something! To be fair I think folding it up will probably help the bag survive longer with it not being so exposed so I would recommend if you’re not fussy about your horses tail being wavy then definitely fold it up!
