Preparing for winter.
Preparing for winter
(Sept 24)
With the rain now lashing down across the most of Northern Europe, we are busy preparing for the mud and colder weather.
With most of us working hard to keep our horses comfortable throughout the seasons and the weather drawing in – along with darker nights and mornings – we are always looking for ways to save you time scraping off mud along with preventing too much hair growth for regular clipping.
As most of the heat is lost through the neck/head and tummy areas, it makes sense to try and cover these areas, which is where our turn out and under rugs come into play.
Made of a soft and comfortable water-resistant fabric, these “base” layers sit happily under outdoor and indoor rugs, preventing both mud and wind chill – resulting in less time taken to scrape off mud, slower coat growth and subsequently less clipping and more time to ride and enjoy your horse.
With a range of products used on the areas the hoods and rugs do not cover, we really do have winter covered.
Check out our extensive range of rug proofing products too…. Adding that little extra protection for your rugs and hoods – and your own jackets and outdoor gear.
