Lovely feel to the fabric, very easy to put on and secured both sides with Velcro so a great fit.
Stayed in place under rug and kept him beautifully warm, very happy
Bought a 2nd one as so happy with the original one and an 2nd rug allows me to wash/dry one rug whilst my horse wears the other one. He is a grey horse who loves to roll so I team this up with the turn-out hood with ears to keep him clean (& warm as clipped out). Fits like a glove. He is a 16.1 ISH/KWPN and he wears a 6ft 3 Winter Under Rug and a M/L turnout hood. Would highly recommend.
Purchased the winter under rug as a last resort! My horse is recovering from colic surgery and unfortunately has developed an infection. Try as we might we cannot get the full belly wrap to stay in place. It rides back and takes all the dressing with it. Highly frustrating!
After a bit of googling the winter under rug popped up. A quick email to ask for some sizing advice (amazing customer service) and the rug arrived the next day.
Game changer for us. We have changed the way we dress the wound and pull the belly section up tight to protect the dressings. Whilst not using the rug for its intended function, it's doing just what I hoped it would and has made my current stressful situation a bit easier.
I have just ordered a 2nd one to enable me to pop it in the washing machine.
My horse recently had an operation and has a large open wound on his tummy. The rug with the flap was perfect so shavings did not enter the wound plus after a couple of days box rest he was able to go out in the field during the day. Amazing for his fitness and mental health. Op was on the 27.11 and is healing so well thanks to the rug. Would 100% recommend and have given literature to my horse hospital to hand over to other owners where the rugs would be very much appreciated. Customer service amazing too as ordered wrong size and replacement arrived within 24 hours. 100% recommend Snuggy Hoods
This is my second one in 15 years. The only reason I bought a new one was that the old some how disappeared. I like the reinforced closures but I don’t like the tail guard. It gets dirty too quick. Thinking about cutting it off.
