Sweet Itch Hood

The Sweet Itch Hood helps protect your horse, pony or donkey from midges, biting insects, flies and UV rays, covering the ears, face, neck, shoulders and chest.

Pull-On or Zip?

Choose Pull-On for horses comfortable having a hood slipped over their nose: less bulk and no zip to fiddle with or break. For head-shy horses or those who find fitting stressful, we recommend Zip.

Pair with the Sweet Itch Rug for our best-selling Sweet Itch combination, offering extensive nose-to-tail coverage. It can also be worn with any fly rug or summer sheet.

Prefer the face uncovered? Choose the Headless Sweet Itch Hood.

Optional Front Legs, Udder Cover and Sheath Cover attach to the Sweet Itch Rug or Bug Body Fly Rug, rather than the hood, and are sold separately.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR HORSE UNATTENDED UNLESS YOU ARE CONFIDENT THAT THE HORSE IS HAPPY AND THAT YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE FIT. IF UNSURE, PLEASE REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT US, OR PHOTOGRAPH IT ON YOUR HORSE IF YOU WOULD LIKE US TO CHECK.

AS WITH ANY ITEM, ILL FIT CAN CAUSE RUBBING AND CAN MOVE WHICH CAN BE DANGEROUS. THAT SAID, WE MUST ADD, THAT THE BEST FITTING HOOD AND RUG CAN MOVE IF CAUGHT ON SOMETHING OR RUBBED OR PULLED AT. UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS.
