The Snuggy Horse Shoulder Guard (formerly Silky Bib) is suitable for use under any rug or hood to prevent rubs to chest, shoulders and withers. The fabric is lightweight, silky, cool and comfortable so suitable for use all year round.

XS – 11hh-12hh, wearing 4’6” to 4’9” rugs
S – 12hh-13hh, wearing 5’0 rugs
S/M –13hh-14hh, wearing 5’3” to 5’6” rugs
M – 14hh-15hh, wearing 5’9” to 6’0” rugs
M/L – 15hh-16hh, wearing 6’3” rugs
L – 16hh-17hh wearing 6’6” to 6’9” rugs
XL – 17hh-17.2hh wearing 7’0” rugs
XXL – 18hh+, wearing 7’3”+ rugs
It is important that Silky Bibs are not too big as this may cause slipping backwards behind the wither. If your horse/pony seems to be between sizes or has a narrow chest and is finely built choose a size smaller.

Fitted my welsh C really well
This is a lovely bib. The material is very soft and there is no seam over the wither, this helps to prevent rubbing there. I would buy one again.
I have a medium weight cob, and as she's been colder this year, has needed heavier rugs, so had started to become bald!
Purchased two of these, and easy to fit and seem comfortable for her to wear. Plus rubbing seems to have stopped!
Easy to order, quick to dispatch and comes beautifully wrapped in a bow with their own bag.

Cannot sing this company's praises highly enough, both in terms of quality of products and quality of service. I previously used to buy another famous brand of shoulder guard that actually rubbed my super-sensitive skinned horse as the binding was too hard a material. These are lovely and soft, both the silky main material and the binding material, they fit well, and do their job. I wasn't sure which size to buy the first time I bought them, but the company suggested a size, and asked me to try one on my horse and send a photo of the bib on my horse to judge the fit for me, which they had correctly gauged. I've just bought my third lot of them, keep coming back over the years to stock up when they wear out! I am also pleased to support a local small business - they are only down the road from me and so I can pop in and collect my orders in person (and then I get to pet the lovely office doggy 'helpers'!).
