Sold as a set of 2, These advanced high-cut mud fever boots are made with Air-Tech ventilated neoprene for maximum breath-ability. Anatomically shaped to provide superior comfort for your horse whilst supporting the cannon bone and soft tissues. Fatigue is reduced in the tendon, fetlock, ligaments and suspensory. The boots cover the whole of the lower leg and pastern area, making them great for use as a preventative measure against mud fever and chills. Suitable for year-round use in paddocks. Can be used on both front and hind legs.

The fabric layers work together to distribute even airflow and manage heat removal. Excellent stretch and recovery properties allow the boot to mold and retain shape without impeding the natural action of a horse moving.

Pique jersey outer and lining wicks away moisture, is highly breathable, quick drying and soft to the touch. Perforated neoprene allows heat from the leg to escape and cool air to enter the boot and circulate the leg. It also does not retain water.

Your Turnout / Mud Fever Boots have been carefully hand packaged in a complimentary, reusable zip-fastened storage bag to keep your tack room tidy when not in use and easy for carrying.

REPAIRS

Snuggy Hoods are happy to carry out repairs to all Snuggy Branded Hoods and Rugs. 

Prices start at £25 which includes UK return postage. (non-UK repairs and alterations will be charged postage and are expected to get their hoods and rugs back to us at your own cost). 

Please email or whatsapp (00447485 939270) a full description and photos of what needs to be done and we will reply with a quotation.

Any used items being returned for repair or alteration must be freshly machine washed at 40-60 degrees with plenty of detergent and softener. They must be fresh, clean and bone dry before packing up with a note containing full contact details and reference to your message and photos. 

You will be invoiced for your Repair/Alteration when it is ready to return (unless this is added to an existing order). 

Inspired by our extremely successful Udder Cover we have spent a long time designing the Snuggy Sheath Cover. The clever design allows the horse/pony to still urinate comfortably but at the same time offering maximum protection of the sheath area.

Made from the same fabric as the Sweet Itch Body it is a separate piece so can be removed for regular washing and attaches to the rug with strong Velcro fastenings. A must for those severe sufferers.

Designed specifically and successfully trialed for use with the Sweet Itch Rug or Bug Body. (they can also be used with our winter Under Rug or Base body - please ensure that you add the appropriate attachments to the basket)

These items are purchased separately and need the appropriate attachments sewn on to the Sweet Itch Rug or Bug Body Fly rug. During a sale/offer or discount period, customers are asked to add the appropriate attachments to their basket. If this is not done, you will simply receive an attachments pack with instructions leaflet, to enable you to add the necessary attachments yourself.

Fitting advice - this product must be a close tight fit !! Straps must pull up between hind legs fastening high up either side the tail. If rug is either too long or straps are too long the sheath cover will collect droppings. Any concerns, check with us first, sending photos for us to check

Once an equine develops the allergy it is generally affected every Spring, Summer and Autumn. There are two approaches to improving the comfort of an affected animal: to minimize the allergic reaction with corticosteroids, anti-histamines or soothing lotions or to minimise midge attack using a Sweet Itch Hood/Rug. The second method offers the most effective protection and avoids the need to use harsh chemicals, expensive repellents and messy oils or greases. The Snuggy Sweet Itch Hood has been approved by Veterinary professionals for the prevention of the midge bite allergic reaction.

The Snuggy Hoods Sweet Itch Mask offers excellent coverage for face, ears and eyes and is designed to be used with the Bug Body (attaches with D-ring and velcro loop) or with a full high neck fly rug/summer sheet. We recommend the Sweet Itch Mask for the following uses - Sweet Itch prevention & allergy/fly/insect/UV ray protection.

This unique Sweet Itch Mask has built in ears and mesh eyes. It is lined in the mane area behind the ears with a silky fabric and has elasticated adjustment in multiple places for a close, secure fit. The Sweet Itch Mask comes either as a pull on or zipped option for easier fitting.

Constructed of a robust yet lightweight and fully breathable fabric which prevents insects biting, and is also heavy showerproof, stops coat bleaching (harmful UV rays) whilst keeping your horse or pony clean!

The optional zip runs from chin to under the neck. Without a zip the Sweet Itch Mask is 'pull on' so simply slip over the nose and pull backwards into position.

Designed for use with the Bug Body Fly Rug but is suitable for use with any full neck fly rug or summer sheet. Also ideal for use with the Headless Sweet Itch Hood for optional face coverage. The Sweet Itch Mask will attach to the Bug Body neck or Headless Sweet Itch Hood with a metal D-ring and strong velcro loop for security. A velcro loop is included at the top of the neck of both the Bug Body and Headless Hood - this is there to loop through the metal D ring provided with every Mask - for extra security.

A spare Velcro loop is provided so the Sweet Itch Mask can be attached to the neck of an alternative rug for added security. We strongly recommend customers attach the Sweet Itch Mask to a rug neck as instructed in the fitting information sheet. If you need help with this please contact us before using the Mask.

The Snuggy Udder Cover offers extra coverage of the udder area for mares. This is a unique product - Snuggy Hoods were the first to offer an 'udder protector', which has been successfully used over the last 10+ years all over the World. The Udder Cover protects the sensitive udder area of mare from flies, midges, other biting insects and harmful UV rays. This is particularly beneficial to mares that suffer from Sweet Itch or other allergies. Many customers also use the Udder Cover to protect sarcoids from flies and also help manage other skin conditions.
