Product Description

The Turn Out Hood helps you spend less time grooming and more time enjoying your horse. Keep mud off in the field, reduce stable stains and protect plaits before a show—one versatile hood for everyday use and show preparation.

Less mud, less preparation

Bringing in a wet, muddy horse needn’t mean a lengthy grooming session before you can ride. The Turn Out Hood helps keep the covered areas clean, making everyday grooming and preparation for clipping quicker and easier.

Use it in the stable too, helping keep your horse clean overnight and protecting an expertly plaited mane before a competition.

Practical protection, comfortable fit

  • Water-repellent, wind-resistant and mud-proof fabric for turnout.
  • Comfortable and breathable for use in the field or stable.
  • Lining along the mane and shoulders to help protect against rubbing.
  • Adjustable nose and poll for a more tailored fit.
  • Machine washable for easy care.

Pull-On or Zip?

Choose Pull-On if your horse is comfortable having a hood slipped over their nose. It is less bulky, with no zip to fiddle with or break.

For head-shy horses or those who find fitting stressful, we recommend Zip to make putting the hood on and taking it off easier.

Check the fit before turnout

Please read our fitting advice carefully. We recommend keeping your horse stabled when first trying any hood so you can check the fit and monitor their comfort.

Keep an eye on your horse when first using the hood to make sure they are comfortable and it stays correctly positioned, with the eyes clear. Once you’re happy with the fit, they’re ready for turnout. If you’d like reassurance, send us some photos—we’re happy to help check the fit.
